After reading all these reviews I was really worried about the sound quality of this TV but after using it for a couple days I have no complaints. Its a great TV for the price.

I would write 0 stars if possible. Research multiple reviews on the internet prior to purchasing a Toshiba TV. I thought I was buying a quality product. They say 10 years for the product life, it is more like 18 mo. Just enough to get the product out of warranty. We took care of ours with regular cleaning, had it securely attached to the wall and plugged into a high end surge protector. Picture went out right on 18 month anniversary and they want to charge us $189.99 to repair a TV purchased for $250 on sale? No offers for a discount, nothing to persuade us to even remain Toshiba customers, poor customer retention strategy Toshiba.

Great for my RV, but as everyone says, the sound is not good. I plugged in a great pair of PC speakers though, and everything is perfect.

The picture is very good with deep blacks. It is relatively easy to use although I struggled with the various wide view settings - the manual could be better and explain the appropriate default setting. The sound had some issues. I use it with the Dish analog house distribution and also with off the air digital stations. The volume was very good for analog reception from the Dish system. As far as off the air digital stations' reception goes... Some stations had adequate volume, however, others had very low volume. Many digital TV stations still do not monitor their transmitted volume. If they would, then this set would have adequate volume. For the few digital stations that cannot get their act together, this TV has inadequate volume. As TV stations learn to monitor their volume and master digital technology (transmission) their volume shoud eventually increase to a level that this TV will be just fine. Volume on the disk player seemed to be a bit low, but acceptable.
