Eliminate clutter with the 20-inch Toshiba MD20F52 flat-screen CRT television with integrated, full-featured DVD player. It has a 4:3 aspect ratio screen for viewing standard TV broadcasts and full-screen DVD movies. It includes a 181-channel analog NTSC tuner that receives standard-definition programming. It includes three Picture Preference presets (standard, sports, movie) as well as a Memory Mode that allows you to customize your own settings and save them. The icon-based TV and DVD menu system offers simple operation by using picture symbols of key menu functions instead of plain text. Other features include an ergonomic, glow-key remote control, tri-lingual on-screen displays, and V-chip parental control.The FST PURE flat screen picture tube delivers increased viewing angles along with the enhanced picture linearity necessary to produce accurate, life-like images. This feature eliminates unwanted reflections from room lighting, which is a common problem in conventional tube designs. It also improves sharpness and brightness. The digital comb filter eliminates detail noise in intricate scenes as well as reduces dot crawl and color bleed from broadcast sources.
The DVD player features compatibility with DVD-R, VCD, and CD-R/CD-RW discs. With the JPEG Viewer, you can easily display your favorite digital photos and create custom slideshows with a few simple clicks of the player's remote control. You can also play discs burned with MP3 and WMA digital audio files. The interactive Digital Picture Zoom feature allows you to select an area of the video from a DVD and magnify it. The Tray Lock feature allows a disc to be loaded into the tray and secured with an on-screen code. It's great for ensuring that a retail demonstration disc remains in the player, as well as to keep children from removing music and movie titles. Other DVD playback features include multi-angle viewing, multiple subtitle selection, slow motion, fast scan (2x, 4x, 8x, 20x), and parental lock.
This set has two stereo speakers that produce 2.5 watts of power per channel (5 watts total). The double baffle front-firing speaker design delivers improved stereo sound reproduction without connection additional speakers. The StableSound feature eliminates the annoyance of normal program volume being followed immediately by extremely loud commercial messages or drastic volume fluctuations while changing channels. The DVD player also offers Dolby Digital and DTS decoding, and the set has a coaxial digital audio output for connecting to a surround sound home theater system.

I bought this tv less than a year ago, and the DVD player is already broken. It suddenly couldn't "read" any DVD's one day. I tried DVD cleaners, etc., to put in, and they didn't help at all. I still get an error message on the tv. Also, I couldn't find my receipt for the tv, so I wasn't able to return it. Now, I just have a nicely working tv, but no DVD player to watch movies on, unless I hook up the playstation to it, which totally sucks. I'm very disappointed that the DVD player quit for absolutely no reason, especially since I hardly ever used it! :(

Good quality TV for the money.
Nice picture and user friendly controls and remote.
DVD player produces a nice picture.
Still a bit bulky unit but it's a tube TV.

This is an outstanding well made unit. The color is awesome very clear. I would buy another tomorrow if I had a need for it. Easy to use.

We are enjoying our new television very much--for the price, it can't be beat. We found at first, though, that the default color settings weren't quite right and it took us a while to fine tune them. Now the color is fantastic. I agree with another reviewer who was a bit surprised by how deep it is, but the picture quality is great and it's perfect for what we wanted -- a bedroom TV. The remote is especially comfortable and you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure it out. Amazon did a great job shipping the item for free and in a timely fashion. I'd say Go for It!

It's nice when everything works without complication. From out of the box to playing the first DVD. Clear bright screen, and quality sound.
